Student Survey: Reflection

In looking at the numbers I thought everything went very well, except that I probably did not stress the 3 C’s enough in the lesson. Because I had it as one of my main objectives I should have stressed it more. I did mention it as part of steps but I did not stress it enough and therefore the students did not report back that they thought it was one of the main ideas of the lesson. The second objective that I had listed was reported back as almost 100% of the students thought that was the main idea for the lesson. I also thought the students gave some very good information back to what information they thought was significant and had a very good understanding of what they were studying in the unit. This question should have been easy for them because they had been studying the unit for two weeks when I gave them the assessment and most of the lesson was review. Overall I was pleased with how the assessment came out but it did help me to realize that I did not stick to my objectives like I should have and I should have paid more attention to focusing on the 3 C’s in each situation. Most of the feedback was well thought out and answered the questions how they should have been with only a small percentage of surveys coming back with very little information because some of the students did not really take them seriously.
